KHS ‘Partners in Print’ on March 26
The next “Partners in Print” for Kagman High School will be on March 26, from 5pm to 7pm in the library. There is an incentive for KHS parents to get involved. Every event a KHS parent attends—from progress report to PTSA meeting to Literacy Nights—earns that parent a raffle ticket to be placed in the end-of-the-year raffle. Grand prize is a flat screen TV! Raffle tickets cannot be purchased. Parents can earn them by participating in their teen’s education. Start by attending this Partners in Print. (PR)
Navy, Air Force training at FDM, Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:
-March 16, from 10:30am to 8:30pm
-March 17, from 10:30am to 9pm
-March 18, from 10:30am to 8:30pm
-March 19-20, from 9am to 8:30pm
The U.S. Navy will also conduct training at Warning Area 517 on March 17-18, from noon to 8pm
The general public— especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the dates and times indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. (PR)
CCA board meeting on March 17
The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Agenda includes reports from the president and program updates. All board meetings are open to the public. The Survivor’s and Caregiver’s Support Group Meeting will be held on March 19, 2015, at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room. (PR)
