Emergency 3-day water service interruption
There will be a scheduled emergency water service interruption through today, March 13, 2019, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, to allow personnel of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s water operations to perform repairs on a damaged 6-inch transmission water line on Airport Road. Areas that will be affected are Chalan Monsignor Martinez Road, Airport Road in Dandan, As Lito, Lower Dandan, Tottotville, and portions of Adobu Drive in Koblerville. The northbound lane fronting Hawthorne CAT’s warehouse on Airport Road will be closed.
Survivors, caregivers support meeting on Thursday
All people facing cancer, their family members, and caregivers are invited to the next Commonwealth Cancer Association support meeting on Thursday, March 14, 2019, starting at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room. Military training at FDM, Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force have started training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla, from 8am to 10pm daily. It will last until March 15.
The U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps also started training at Warning Area 517, from 12:05am to 11:55pm daily. It will last until March 21.
It is recommended the public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla is in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island.
For the W-517 training, the Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Banks will be closed for public use. W-517 begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. (PR)
Kagman schools to have PTSA meeting
This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman cluster of schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting on Tuesday, March 19, at 5:30pm in the Kagman Elementary School cafeteria. Attention to all Marianas High School Class of 1981 and off-island graduate(s) in Guam and the U.S. mainland that there will be a 1981 class reunion meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2019, starting at 6pm at the Tech-NIC Computer above Sherwin Paint across Bank of Hawaii on Middle Road. (PR)

Northern Marianas College is reminding all individuals interested in furthering their education that they still have until March 23, 2019, to register for the upcoming spring semester.

NMC will be also having a free information session on March 21, 2019, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the college’s Olympio T. Borja Library. It is open to all prospective students and interested community members. Those who would like to apply for admission or register for classes can attend the info session.
