Red Cross health and safety trainings
The American Red Cross is scheduled to conduct Preparedness Health & Safety trainings on the following dates:

– March 19, at 6pm: Adult First Aid/CPR/AED (second session continues Thursday)

– March 19, at 6pm: Adult CPR/AED

– March 20, at 6pm: Standard First Aid

Survivors, caregivers support meeting on March 20

All people facing cancer, their family members, and caregivers are invited to the next Commonwealth Cancer Association monthly support meeting on Thursday, March 20, 2014, starting at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room. Energy announces weatherization program

The CNMI Energy Division would like to inform the general public that the Residential Weatherization Assistance Program for Low Income Households is now open and will be accepting applications effective March 18, 2014. Due to limited slots available, this program will be on a first come, first serve basis. WAP application is available at the Energy Division Office in Capitol Hill, building No. 1337. Free workshop on how to write a business plan

The CNMI Small Business Development Center will be hosting a free workshop titled “How to Write a Business Plan” on March 14, Friday, at the second floor of the Family Building in Garapan, from 10am to 12pm. It will be presented by CNMI SBDC director Perry Inos Jr. There are limited seats so register by calling 664-3018. (PR)

CCA board meeting March 18

The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Ancient Chamorro rock art presentation Sat.

The Northern Marianas Humanities Council invites the public to a presentation on ancient Chamorro rock art that will be held at the Visitors Center Theater, American Memorial Park on Saturday, March 15, beginning at 6pm. Visiting archaeologist Dr. Rosalind Hunter-Anderson will present the results of a recent pilot study to determine the composition and age of several ancient images that were painted on the walls of the Mahlac Cave in Guam. KHS reading workshop for parents

Kagman High School will be having a workshop on how to help your child learn how to use reading skills in all content areas. The event will take place on March 22, from 9am to 2:30pm, and April 10, from 5pm to 7:30pm, at the Kagman High School campus. There will be light refreshments and giveaways!
