Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center, regional buoys indicate combined seas have decreased to between 6 and 8 feet. Surface observations and satellite-derived winds indicate winds have subsided below advisory levels across Marianas waters.
Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, however, is still advising the general public and inexperienced mariners to exercise caution, as the seas will remain just below hazardous levels for a few days. (PR)
