MHS PTA meeting on Wednesday
All Marianas High School parents, teachers, and students are invited to attend the last PTA meeting for this school year on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 6pm in the MHS Dolphin Theatre. The meeting will include an update on the projects requested by MHS administration, future events, and a report from the MHS Student Council, followed by performances by the student who will be competing in the June 22 International Thespian Festival in Nebraska. We will be entertained by the talented students and the students will gain experience performing for an audience. It’s a winner of an evening for all! (MHS)
CCA board meeting on June 17
The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its regular meeting on June 17, 2014, Tuesday, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Air Force, Coast Guard training on FDM, Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla on June 10-11, from 9am to 3pm, and June 12, from 10am to 7pm
The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on June 11-12, from 8am to 4pm
The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. (PR)
