Advance Placement certification training
Annually, the Public School System provides Advance Placement certification training to interested teachers in the form of the AP Summer Institute. This year is the 16th year of the Saipan APSI. This year 40 teachers from across the Public School System and even some private schools participated in the annual event. Subjects offered at this years APSI were AP Literature and Composition, AP Calculus, AP Vertical Teams in History and the Social Sciences, and AP Computer Science Principals. AP Computer Science Principals is a new subject offered by the AP program and to the CNMI. It was a highly engaging course that we hope to continue to offer training in at future APSI’s. (PR)
