TES kindergarten enrollment
Kindergarten registration at Tanapag Elementary School has started and will run up to Aug. 3, from 7:30am to 4:30pm, at the main office of the school campus. There will be only 20 slots for kindergarten. It’s a first-come, first-served basis. Requirements include a registration form, health clearance/ certificate, birth certificate, proof of guardianships, and map of residency. For more information contact the main office at 237-3162/4. Cleanup, Paint, and Beautify Day at MHS
On Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, the Marianas High School Parent Teacher Association will conduct a Cleanup, Paint, and Beautify Day at the MHS campus. The PTA invites all parents, students, teachers, and any other interested members of the community to meet at the MHS at 7:30am to help prepare the campus for the new school year. UOG hosts workshop on wireless networking
The University of Guam Telecommunication and Distance Education Operation has partnered with International Centre for Theoretical Physics, University of California, Berkeley, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Green WiFi to host a workshop on Wireless Networking in the Developing World to be held at UOG on July 31 to Aug. 2, 2012.
Workshop participation is limited to eight students due to course material licensing and team project installation. Preferred participants are University students with regional backgrounds who have a working knowledge of computer operations and networking. The Wireless Networking in the Developing World workshop is free of charge for the eight students who are selected to participate.
Students may submit a letter of interest with current resume or bio to Manny Hechanova via email at mhechanova@uguam.uog.edu. The deadline to apply is July 30, 2012. (UOG)
Free films every Friday at the Park
The American Memorial Park presents family-friendly films twice a day for free every Friday, at 2pm and 6pm, in the Visitors Center auditorium.
Aug. 3: Ice Age (2pm)
Aug. 10: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2pm and 6pm)
Aug. 17: Rio (2pm and 6pm)
The regularly scheduled First Friday Films at 6:30pm will continue. (AMP)
