Scheduled power interruption today

There will be a scheduled power interruption today, July 26, from 8:30am to 2pm on the Kiya 1 distribution circuit, affecting the Isley Field in Dandan and causing a momentary outages for Obyan, Sky Chef, and the Aircraft and Rescue Firefighting facility, from 1:30pm to 2pm.

Aside from the Isley Wells, the water wells affected include IF 19, 20, and 21. No wastewater lift station will be affected.

The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize utility lines and allow power line workers from the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to safely replace 13,000 linear feet of primary conductors.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.
