Military trainings set
ASAN, Guam—Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 will conduct training on July 22-25 at the Dandan-Malojloj training site in Inarajan from 11am to 11:55pm.
HSC-25 will also conduct training on July 24-25 at Radio Barrigada, from 6:30pm to 1am.
These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training. The public should be advised that routine helicopter training, often accompanied with the use of blanks, can occur during these trainings.
The U.S. Air Force will conduct training on July 23-25, from 11am to 1pm, at the island of Farallon de Medinilla.
This training supports aircrew combat readiness and is critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free and open Indo-Pacific.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be within a 12-nautical-mile radius of the island. (PR)
October meeting of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s October general membership meeting will be on Oct.3, 2018, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. Lunch will be served at 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at 12pm.
The guest speakers are Commonwealth Health Care Corp. CEO Esther Muña, who will provide an update on CHCC; Federal Emergency Management Agency external affairs officer David Gervino; and a Small Business Administration representative to share some information about small business assistance.
The U.S. Marine Corps, Reserve, and Saipan Young Professionals will also kick off the Toys 4 Tots Program.
