Deadline for boat evictions at OCM
The Department of Lands and Natural Resources wishes to inform vessel owners/operators using the Outer Cove Marina that the department is preparing to evict or remove boats that are not allowed to berth at OCM for the following reasons:
1. Vessels lack berthing permits, and
2. Vessels without power/engine to operate on their own within the OCM waterways.
Boats without power/engines will need to be removed on or before Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 (no later than 2pm).
Boats without berthing permit will need to be removed on or before Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 (no later than 2pm).

Karidat to host rummage sale on Friday
The community is invited to a rummage sale that Karidat Social Services will be hosting on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, in front of the Karidat main office in Chalan Kanoa, from 12pm to 4pm. We will be selling $1 bags and you can stuff whatever you want into the bag. Lots of great new donations have come in from community donors. Kagman schools set PTSA meeting
This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman Unified Schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting on Tuesday, Jan.14, 2020, at 5:30pm in the Chacha Ocean View Middle School School cafeteria. We are encouraging all parents, and guardians to attend this meeting. Child care will be provided. Navy training in Radio Barrigada
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy will conduct direct action training from 10am to 3pm on Jan. 9 at Radio Barrigada.
These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. This training will be accompanied by the use of blanks and practice hand grenades. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training. (PR)
CHCC Children’s Clinic to open on Saturdays for appointments
To better accommodate patient schedules and the growing demand for primary care, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. Children’s Clinic at the main Navy Hill campus will begin accepting appointments on Saturdays from 7:30am to 4:30pm effective Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020.
No walk-ins will be accepted at the Children’s Clinic on Saturdays. To schedule an appointment, call (670) 234-8951. (PR)
Survivors, caregivers support group meeting
All people facing cancer, their family members, and caregivers are invited to the next Commonwealth Cancer Association monthly support group meeting scheduled today, Jan. 9, starting at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room. The guest speaker is Lynn Tenorio, research assistant, University of Guam. Her presentation will be on the Betel Nut Intervention Trials Project.
