Family grief support group to meet today
The Compassionate Friends of Saipan will be holding their monthly grief support meeting today, Jan. 4, from 6pm to 7:30pm, in the NMPASI conference room on Middle Road, in Gualo Rai. The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others to be supportive. Distribution of 2017 W2-CM and Annual Reconciliation forms
The Division of Revenue and Taxation, Department of Finance began distributing the 2017 W2-CM and Annual Reconciliation forms and instructions last Dec. 22. Businesses, employers, and all payroll service providers are encouraged to reserve forms needed by calling the Administration Office of the Division of Revenue and Taxation at 664-1000, 664-1098 or via fax at 664-1015. Forms will be available for pick-up from the Compliance Branch or main office located in the Joeten Dandan Building.
Employers are also reminded that forms are required to be filed at Revenue and Taxation by Feb. 28, 2018. (PR)
NMC offices closed today
Northern Marianas College employees will be participating in professional development activities today, Jan. 4, 2018. All NMC offices will be closed on this day to ensure maximum employee participation. Please note that all Academic Programs and Services offices will also be closed on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, to allow APS faculty and staff to participate in faculty-focused training activities. CNMI Homeless Coalition meeting today
The CNMI Homeless Coalition will be having its general membership meeting today, Jan. 4, 2018, 10am at the Division of Youth Services conference room in Chalan Piao (adjacent to Bank of Guam). The coalition would like to invite partners, organizations, agencies and individuals providing direct or indirect services to individuals and/or families who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. JKPL offers ukulele classes
Registration for Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s Beginner and Advance Ukulele Class is now open. The minimum age requirement is ages 8 years or older and adults. The total cost for eight class sessions is $50.
Ukulele classes are held at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library in partnership with ukulele instructor Larry Lee and son, Kui Lee. The deadline to register is Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018. For questions, call Celina Foreman or Victoria Cabrera at 235-7315/7322 during regular library hours. (PR)
