Chamber Installation Dinner on Jan. 24
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will have no general membership meeting this month.  Instead it will celebrate with its Installation Dinner on Jan. 24 at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan. The Chamber will welcome its newest board members and will announce its 2014 Business Person of the Year.  A silent auction will offer fabulous prizes! Tickets are $50/person, and tables of eight persons are available. (SCC)

Workforce training courses offered at NMC Rota
Northern Marianas College is offering Workforce Training Courses on Rota beginning Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, through Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.
The courses include Introduction to Computers; Keyboarding; Fundamentals of the Internet and Email Usage; Introduction to Word Processing Applications; Introduction to Spreadsheet Applications; Creating Effective Digital Presentations; Workforce Ready: Personal and Professional Skills; Customer Service; Workplace Culture and Ethics; Communication in the Workplace; Time and Stress Management; and Getting the Job: Job Search/Resume Writing/Job Interviewing Techniques.

OVR relaunches website
The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the State Rehabilitation Council, has relaunched its website. The website contains the revised application forms for printing, the FY 2015 State Plan, updates on the Re-Authorization of the Vocational Rehabilitation Program (Title IV of the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014), as well as links to its partner agencies.
