Kagman schools PTSA meeting today
This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman cluster schools will be having a PTSA meeting today Jan. 19, 2017, at 5pm at the Kagman Elementary School cafeteria. Benefits outreach for veterans today
The U.S. Department of Veterans Benefits Administration (non-health) will be conducting a veterans benefits outreach today, Jan. 19, 2017, from 9am to 3pm, at the Saipan VA Outreach Clinic, MH II Building, Suite 206, Marina Heights Business Park in Garapan. This will be a one-on-one outreach. Chris Duenas, legal administrative specialist, will be available to answer your benefits questions and take your claims. After-school program at Kagman center
The Family & Youth Enhancement Program-Youth Services Section of the Division of Youth Services offers an after-school program at the Kagman Community Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Aside from homework/school project sessions, the program also provides for youth prevention activities that focus on literacy, art and music, career opportunities and cultural demonstrations. (PR)
Air Force training at Farallon de Medinilla
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla on Jan. 20 from 10am to 3pm. The public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 12-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)
Rota urged to make homes energy-efficient
Staff from the Weatherization Assistance Program will be on Rota on Tuesday next week, Jan. 24, 2017, from 9am to 3pm at the Rota Mayor’s Office to provide on-site assistance regarding the application process and the program services available to qualified low-income eligible residents. To avail of the program services, application forms are available at the Rota Mayor’s Office or may be obtained online at www.cnmienergy.com.
