4.5-magnitude quake in Agrihan
At 9:23am yesterday, Feb. 6 2020, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred 24 kilometers south of Agrihan in the Northern Marianas Islands. Currently, The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue any tsunami warnings or advisories. For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 237-8000. (PR)

Saturday writing workshops
The Marianas Writers Movement is continuing with its Saturday workshops. Each workshop is two hours, beginning at 1:30pm in the VTC Room of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. On Saturday, Feb. 8, we will be sharing the results of our beta reading and some tips on line editing. On Feb. 15, we will focus on pitching your novel. On Feb. 22, we will have a special guest, Victoria-Lola M. Leon Guerrero from UOG Press, who is looking for Pacific writers to publish. The workshops, “Beyond the First Draft,” will focus on the editing process and are open to all over age 13, and are free. (PR)
