High surf, small craft advisory cancelled
The CNMI Emergency Operations Center has cancelled the high surf and small craft advisory issued earlier this week.

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, however, is still advising the general public and inexperienced mariners to still exercise caution as the seas will remain just below hazardous levels for a few days.

The public is advised to continue to exercise caution along North and East facing reefs, as a moderate risk of rip currents will continue through most of next week.

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam gentle to moderate winds are expected across the Marianas coastal waters the next couple days. Fresh to strong winds are again possible at the end of the week. Combined seas of 6 to 9 feet could build to between 8 and 10 feet by the weekend. (PR)
