USCIS creates e-mailbox for CNMI

The California Service Center has created a new e-mailbox for the CNMI. This mailbox may be used by the public for any questions that relate to the CNMI, including the CW program. The mailbox will be monitored by customer service personnel and fully supported by USCIS staff members who are familiar with CNMI issues. (PR)

Learn how to cook bunelus dagu, eskabechi 

The Inetnon Amot yan Kutturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Faluw is offering free lessons to Chamorros and Carolinians on making bunelos dagu and eskabechi at the Saipan Chamorro-Carolinian Village Cultural Centers Headquarters (1213 Capital Hill Road, across the Workforce Investment Agency and next to the CNMI Board of Parole Office) this Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. The lessons will be from 9:30am to 12pm.

These activities are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office (Saipan) and funded in part by the Administration for Native Americans. For more information, call 322-0278. (PR)

Free Tinian training on selling internationally

John Holman, director of the Pacific Islands Hawaii Export Assistance Center, will be conducting a free workshop today, Dec. 8, 2011, on how Tinian businesses can sell internationally. The seminar, which will be held at the Tinian Public Library, from 9am to 11am, and will cover current trends, opportunities, and resources available to exporters. Pacific Islands Hawaii Export Assistance Center is a division of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Services. The mission of the Commercial Service is to assist local companies in selling their products or services in international markets. (PR)

Rev & Tax to conduct workshop for employers 

The Division of Revenue and Taxation, Department of Finance will be conducting a workshop for the Annual Wage and Salary Statement, Form (W-2CM) for tax year 2011 and other 2011 year-end filing requirements. The workshop will be on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. The first seminar will be from 8am to 11am and the second session will be from 1pm to 4pm at the Department of Public Lands conference room in the Joeten Dandan Commercial Center. Businesses, employers, and all payroll service companies are encouraged to attend.
