SCS postpones opening to Aug. 17
Saipan Community School has postponed the opening of school year 2015-2016 to Aug. 17 because of the damage incurred by the Susupe school from the onslaught of Typhoon Soudelor.
SCS management said teachers and staff have been working very hard to get the campus ready for students, but due to water, fuel, and cleanup issues, the school felt it is the best decision for both the school and students to postpone school for one week. (PR)
GCA school opening moved to September
Grace Christian Academy’s school opening has been moved to September, with the Open House on Sept. 2 and the first day of classes on Sept. 3.
NMI Judiciary resumes operations
The CNMI Judiciary resumed operations on Saipan yesterday, Aug. 5, 2015. Hours of operation is from 8am to 2pm Monday through Friday until further notice.
On Rota and Tinian, hours of operation will be 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
The half-day operations on Saipan are expected to continue until issues associated with fuel availability and standby power generation are solved.
Operating hours, particularly at the Guma Hustisia on Saipan, will change as post-Soudelor recovery is achieved. Additional operating schedule notices will be issued as conditions warrant and updates will be posted on Judiciary’s website, www.justice.gov.mp.
