Fishing base boat ramp closed on Saturday

The Garapan Fishing Base boat ramp will be closed to the public all day tomorrow, Aug. 25, 2018, for the staging of the CNMI Labor Day celebration. The Department of Lands and Natural Resources advises the public to use the Smiling Cove Marina, the Lower Base Sea Ramp, or Sugar Dock in Susupe until after the completion of the festivities. (PR)

Guam Guard airmen on Tinian

Airmen from the Guam Air National Guard’s 254th Red Horse Squadron are working to increase the size of the current 30’ x 30’ helicopter pad, just outside the Tinian Health Clinic, to a 50’ x 50’ in order to accommodate larger helicopters in the event of an emergency evacuation. The project is part of an Innovative Readiness Training Program on Tinian.
