SSHS orientation week Schedule:
• Monday (8/25) – Freshmen & New Student with Parents 9-10:30am
• Tuesday (8/26) – Sophomore with Parents 9-10:30am
• Wednesday (8/27) – Juniors with Parents 9-10:30am
• Thursday (8/28) – Seniors with Parents 9-10:30am
• Friday (8/29) – Make Up Orientation for those that missed their scheduled dates with Parents 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Navy to conduct training
The Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 Aug. 19-20 from 12:30pm to 8:30pm.
The general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. Farallon de Medinilla plays a special and unique role in national defense because its location provides access frequency that supports established training requirements. In addition, the air and sea space in the Farallon provides sufficient room for the many different attack profiles necessary to replicate training opportunities in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. W-517 supports surface and aerial gunnery, missiles, and laser exercises. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. W-517 is contained within the following coordinates: 13° 10″N/144° 30″E, 13° 10″N/144° 42″E, 12° 50″N/144° 45″E, 11° 00″N/144° 45″E, 11° 00″N/143° 00″E, 11° 45″N/143° 00″E, 12° 50″N/144° 30″E. (PR)
MHS student orientations set
Marianas High School will be having the orientation for school year 2014-2015 as follow:
• Aug. 22: Incoming Sophomores and Juniors, 9:30am-11:00am, School Gym
• Aug. 22: Incoming Seniors, 1pm-2:30pm, School Gym
• Aug. 26: Incoming Freshmen, 9:30am-11:30am, School Gym
Returning students are required to bring an updated Health Certificate and Student Insurance. Parents are highly encouraged to participate. (MHS)

OVR counselor on Rota
This is to inform the public that a vocational rehabilitation counselor will be on Rota from Aug. 20 to 21 at the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Receiving Center in Songsong Village.
