MHS back gate to be used
Marinas High School said the back entrance gate (Texas Road) will be opened for student drop off and pick up.  Gates will be open for morning drop off during school days between 7:15am and 8:30am and after school pick up between 3:15pm and 4:30pm.  When using back entrance gate, parents are to make the first right turn upon entering the back gate.  This will bring you to a loop around the gym where you can drop or pick up students. A guard will be present to direct traffic. (PR)

Survivors, caregivers support meeting on Aug. 16
All people facing cancer, their family members, and caregivers are invited to the Commonwealth Cancer Association monthly support meeting on Aug. 16, 2018, starting at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room. Guest speaker for the meeting will be Dr. William Moss, ENT specialist at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. Public library closed on Aug. 25
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, in celebration of CNMI Labor Day. The library will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018. GTC Elementary School info
The Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School will have an open house/orientation on Aug. 14, 2018, for new and ongoing GTC students and parents, from 5pm to 6pm, at the school cafeteria, then at the child’s classroom. This will allow parents to meet with your child’s teacher and gain information about expectations for the school year.

Also, the school is still accepting registrations for new and ongoing students. If you have yet to register your child, do so as soon as possible to ensure your child is placed on the school roster prior to the first day of school. The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 15.
