VA sets town hall meeting
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is having a town hall meeting in the CNMI, hosted by the Veterans Affairs Pacific Island Health Care System director Jennifer Gutowski. This will be to share information, hear feedback from veterans and to answer questions on VA healthcare. The town hall are for Saipan, Rota and Tinian:

Saipan: American Memorial Park theater on May 1, from 5pm to 6:30pm

Rota: The Mayor of Rota’s conference room, May 2, from 9:30am to 12:30pm

Tinian: The Mayor of Tinian’s conference room, May 3, from 9:30am to 11:30am.

All veterans, their families, survivors and any organization or individual who works with or on behalf of veterans are encouraged to attend.

Military training at FDM
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. military is conducting training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla until April 26, from 8am to 4pm. It is recommended the public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)

KHS Def Jam and progress reports
Kagman High School will be hosting its annual Def Jam and 4th Quarter Progress Report today, April 26. Progress reports will be released from 4pm to 6pm and Def Jam will occur from 6pm to 8:30pm in the cafeteria. For parents and guardians living in the northern villages, KHS will also be holding a progress report on Friday, April 27, from 4pm to 6pm at the Natibu Sports Association, next to Tanapag Middle School. KagES parent-teacher conferences
Kagman Elementary School will have its fourth quarter mid-progress parent-teacher conference on Thursday, April 26, from 3pm to 6pm on campus. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to learn about your child’s academic performance, and if she or he will need to attend the intensive summer school program. Parents who attend the children’s parent-teacher conferences three or more times during the school year will be recognized with medals and certificates at the end of the school year.
