Free seminar on STEP Program for small businesses
The CNMI Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Development Authority, will be offering a free seminar focusing on the CNMI State Trade Expansion Program for small businesses that are interested in expanding their market through export. The training will be held at CDA boardroom in San Jose, first floor, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 9:30am to 11am. The CNMI STEP Program is a state-federal partnership, funded by a grant from the Small Business Administration. (PR)

Military training at FDM
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. military is conducting training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla until April 26, from 8am to 4pm. It is recommended the public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)

KHS Def Jam and progress reports
Kagman High School will be hosting its annual Def Jam and 4th Quarter Progress Report this Thursday, April 26. Progress reports will be released from 4pm to 6pm and Def Jam will occur from 6pm to 8:30pm in the cafeteria.

For parents and guardians living in the northern villages, KHS will also be holding a progress report on Friday, April 27, from 4pm to 6pm at the Natibu Sports Association, next to Tanapag Middle School.

SSHS parent-teacher conferences
Saipan Southern High School will have its fourth quarter mid-progress parent-teacher conferences on April 27, 2018, from 3pm to 5pm on campus. (PR)

KagES parent-teacher conferences
Kagman Elementary School will have its fourth quarter mid-progress parent-teacher conference on Thursday, April 26, from 3pm to 6pm on campus. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to learn about your child’s academic performance, and if she or he will need to attend the intensive summer school program. Parents who attend the children’s parent-teacher conferences three or more times during the school year will be recognized with medals and certificates at the end of the school year. SCS art show and writers showcase
The Saipan Community School invites the public to its SCS Annual Art Show and Young Writers Showcase on Friday, April 27, at 6pm in the SCS chapel. Student pieces for display range in complexity from Kindergarten through 8th grade.  The SCS Young Writers Workshop will be displaying written work from Kindergarten all the way through the 8th grade.  To learn more about SCS, contact principal Amanda Allen Dunn, via email at principal@saipancommunityschool.com, call 234-6687, or visit the school on Beach Road in Susupe.
