KagES parent-teacher conferences

Kagman Elementary School will have its fourth quarter mid-progress parent-teacher conference on Thursday, April 26 from 3pm to 6pm on campus. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to learn about your child’s academic performance, and if she or he will need to attend the intensive summer school program. Parents who attend the children’s parent-teacher conferences three or more times during the school year will be recognized with medals and certificates at the end of the school year. SCS art show and writers showcase

The Saipan Community School invites the public to its SCS Annual Art Show and Young Writers Showcase on Friday, April 27, at 6pm in the SCS chapel. Student pieces for display range in complexity from Kindergarten through 8th grade.  The SCS Young Writers Workshop will be displaying written work from Kindergarten all the way through the 8th grade.  To learn more about SCS, contact principal Amanda Allen Dunn, via email at principal@saipancommunityschool.com, call 234-6687, or visit the school on Beach Road in Susupe. OES registration information

The Oleai Elementary School will be accepting registration for new enrollees for school year 2018-2019, on the following dates:

• Kindergarten: April 16, 2018
• 1st to 5th Grade: June 11, 2018

Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30.

Registration forms are available at our main office. Documents can be submitted to the office on Mondays-Fridays between 1pm and 4:30pm. For more information or inquiry call our main office at 664-3942. (PR)

PTSA meeting for Kagman cluster schools

This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman cluster of schools will be having a PTSA meeting on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 5:30pm in the Kagman Elementary School cafeteria. Call the school at 237-3921, 664-4100, or 664-3911. (PR)

Military training at former golf course, FDM

ASAN, Guam—The U.S. military will conduct training at the former Adm. Nimitz Golf Course in Barrigada during the following dates and times:

• April 16 and 18 from noon to 6pm 


• April 17 from noon to 8pm

• The military will also conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla on April 19-20, from 11am to 11:55pm. 


The public should be advised that routine helicopter training often accompanied with the use of blanks can occur throughout the week in areas of the former Nimitz golf course and Andersen south. 


The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)
