Public library closed on Friday
In observance of Good Friday, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will be closed tomorrow, April 19. The library will reopen on Saturday, April 20, from 9am to 4pm. (PR)
Calling Class of 1981 high school graduates
Attention to all 1981 graduate(s) of Marianas High School, Dolphins 81, and off-Island graduates in Guam or the U.S. mainland that there will be a class reunion meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2019, starting at 6pm at Tech-NIC Computer Gaming, above Sherwin Williams across Bank of Hawaii on Middle Road. Culture Day today at KHS
Kagman High School is inviting the community of Saipan to its Cultural Day celebration today, April 18, from 10am to 2pm. Come and celebrate the cultures in the CNMI. (PR)
Emergency water outage on Beach Road yesterday
There was an emergency water service interruption yesterday, April 17, for Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers along Beach Road, Garapan.
The cause of the interruption was due to a break in a 6-inch water mainline on Beach Road, Garapan fronting the Marianas Medical Center. Water operations personnel made the necessary repairs and were expected to complete their work yesterday at 6pm. Customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of services soon after.
As a result of the repair, a more reliable water system will be provided to the community.

Transfer station, landfill closed Friday
In observance of Good Friday, the Lower Base Transfer Station and the Marpi landfill will close on Friday, April 19, 2019. Both facilities will open on Saturday, April 20, 2019. (PR)
Department of Agriculture phone lines out of service
Telephone lines for the Department of Agriculture’s Director’s Office, Forestry & Soil Resources, Animal Health/Animal Control, and Agriculture Development Services are currently not in service. USCIS to present naturalization information session in Guam next month
Officials from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will present a free information session to the public about citizenship and the naturalization process in Guam next month.
This session will take place at the Guam Public Library Hagatna branch.
USCIS will provide information about eligibility for citizenship, how to apply online, the English and civics tests, application forms and fees and how to best interact with USCIS about individual cases.
Officials will also discuss ways to avoid becoming a victim of immigration scams and provide agency updates. Free educational materials will be given out, while supplies last.
