Navy training at North Tinian Airfield

ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy will conduct helicopter operations at the North Tinian Airfield on Charlie and Delta runways on April 15 from 9am to noon. This training is designed to enhance military readiness. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see and hear increased activity associated with the training. (PR)

Rota business workshop postponed

The CNMI Small Business Development Center regrets to inform the public that the CNMI SBDC Business Training Seminar on Rota that will take place on April 25 at Rota’s Northern Marianas College will be postponed until further notice. (PR)

CCA board meeting on April 22

The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Agenda includes reports from the president and program updates. All board meetings are open to the public. Survivors, caregivers support meeting on April 24

All people facing cancer, their family members, and caregivers are invited to the next Commonwealth Cancer Association monthly support meetings scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2014, starting at 5:30pm at Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Giovanni’s Restaurant. – April 16: 3rd Quarter Report Card will be distributed to students during the first period.

– April 16: Last day for students to sign up for Summer School

– April 17 – 22: Spring Break

– April 23: DPH annual flu vaccination campaign. Students can take advantage of free flu shots. A signed parent consent form is required.

– April 26: Junior-Senior “Vintage Prom” at Saipan World Resort

– April 28 – May 2: SAT-10 Testing (9th and 11th grade students are tested)

– May 2: Student Service Learning hours due (turn in to respective counselors)

– May 8: 4th Quarter Mid-Progress Reports in the gym from 4pm to 6pm

– May 7 – 16: Advanced placement testing
