5.2-magnitude earthquake in Marianas
At 5:16am on April 12, 2021 a report of a 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred at 17.900°N 147.284°E in the Mariana Islands region. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings or advisories that were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 237-8000. (PR)
4.7-magnitude quake in Alamagan region
At 5:06am on April 12, 2021 a report of a 4.7-magnitude earthquake occurred at 17.987°N 146.958°E in the Alamagan region, Northern Mariana Islands. MCS Theatre Club presents Shakespeare’s As You Like It
As part of the ongoing celebration of its 25th anniversary, Mount Carmel School’s Theatre Club presents its next theatrical production, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic comedy As You Like It on campus on April 30 and May 1 starting at 7pm each night.
Tickets are $25 for front row premium seats and $10 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at Herman’s Modern Bakery, Java Joe’s Kagman Mobil, Naked Fish Bar & Grill, Puerto Rico Shell, Tribe Marianas, and the school’s Business Office.
To comply with COVID-19 Mitigation Guidelines, tickets are limited and are available only on a first-come, first-served basis.
Funding for this production is provided by the CNMI CARES Relief Fund for Organizations and supported by the National Endowment for the Arts through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act of 2020.

Free webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinars this April. Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.
April 15 – Marketing to the Federal Government: The federal government buys products and services differently than the private sector. The Guam PTAC will discuss marketing strategies, essential documents, and how to get your company in “the system.”
April 22 – Wages: Different federal contracts require different wage rates. Which wage do you pay your employees on government contracts? The Guam PTAC will discuss the various laws and regulations to make sure you stay in compliance.
April 29 – Government of Guam Procurement: The Guam PTAC will explain Government of Guam Procurement, where to find opportunities, and how to submit bids.
