Voter registration in Kagman
The Commonwealth Election Commission will be at Kagman High School today, April 13, 2018, from 1pm until 3pm to register members of the community to be eligible to vote in 2018 election. All people must be 18 years or older by Nov. 6, 2018, in order to be eligible. People need to bring a copy of their birth certificate or U.S. passport to register. (PR)
Bangladesh community to mark New Year
The Bangladeshi community in the CNMI will be celebrating their New Year on April 14, 2018, at the Minachom Atdao Pavilion (Kilili Beach), from 6pm to 10pm, with family and friends. The public is invited to this event. (PR)
Avifauna presentation at the AMP
The Asia Pacific Academy of Science, Education and Environmental Management, or APASEEM, is hosting a “Mariana Avifauna Conservation Program” presentation at the American Memorial Park on April 25, from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. They will review efforts to insure bird diversity against the brown tree snake and other threats. The conference is free and open to the public. Time is reserved at the end of the talk to answer questions from the audience. (PR)
Registration at KES
Koblerville Elementary School will open registration of Kindergarten students on April 16, 2018 and close at 3pm on May 25, 2018. There are limited slots available. Note that to register your child must be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 30, 2018. Registration for new students (1st to 5th grades) is scheduled to begin on June 11, 2018, Monday, to July 13, 2018, Friday, from 9am to 3pm at the school’s main office. Demolition training in Guam
ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam—The 554th Red Horse Squadron Demolition Team will be conducting explosive training from approximately 7:30am to 5pm on April 13, 2018, at the munitions range here. The training may produce loud noises, but will be localized to the munition’s range on base with no anticipated affect outside of the training area. (PR)

Islandwide cleanup on April 20
The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s Cleanup Brigade will be joining the 2018 Environmental Awareness Month Islandwide Cleanup on April 20, from 3pm to 4:30pm and Saturday, April 21, from 8am to 10am.
