Wind advisory no longer in effect
The wind advisory is no longer in effect across the Marianas.
Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Guam and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, surface observations show that winds continue to subside. This trend will continue through the night, but some areas in the higher elevations of the CNMI could still see occasionally stronger gusts. Gusty conditions are also possible near showers.
As a precautionary measure, the public is advised to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects. (PR)
SINMI to hold monthly luncheon meeting
The Soroptimist International Chapter of the Northern Mariana Islands will hold its monthly luncheon meeting Thursday, April 14, at noon at the 360 Restaurant. Free webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinars this month. Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.
• 4/14/22 – Teaming & JVs – What are they and which is right for your business? The Guam PTAC will discuss the Federal regulations related to these arrangements and discuss ways to use these arrangements effectively.
• 4/21/22 – Service Contract Act – The Service Contract Act requires contractors and subcontractors performing services on prime contracts in excess of $2,500 to pay service employees prevailing wages. We will discuss the details of the SCA and how contractors can stay in compliance.
• 4/28/22 – GovGuam Procurement – The Guam PTAC will explain Government of Guam Procurement, where to find opportunities, and how to submit bids.
