Free business workshop on customer service
The CNMI Small Business Development Center will host a free business workshop on Saipan called “Customer Service for Small Businesses” on April 17, 2014, at the second floor of the Family Building in Garapan, from 10am to 12pm. It will be presented by Small Business Development Center director Perry Inos Jr. Call 664-3018 for pre-registration. Deadline for pre-registration is 12pm, one business day before workshop. Navy chiefs to celebrate 121st birthday
ASAN, Guam—Navy chiefs in Guam will celebrate the 121st birthday of chief petty officers during a flag-raising ceremony at the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center in Santa Rita today, April 1, at 8am. Active and retired Navy master chiefs, senior chiefs and chiefs will be in attendance.
The CPO rating was established April 1, 1893, giving enlisted sailors the opportunity to further advance in their career. CPOs are responsible for the training, discipline and recognition of Sailors under their guidance and serve as experts in their designated field.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to arrive at the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center no later than 7:45am due to traffic delays in front of the U.S. Naval Base Guam main gate.
Navy to conduct training at former Admiral Nimitz Golf Course
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy will conduct parachuting and helicopter operations training at the former Admiral Nimitz Golf Course in Barrigada on April 3 from 8am to 2pm. This exercise is designed to enhance the training and readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see and hear increased activity associated with the exercise. (PR)
