PH consulate to host mobile outreach on Saipan
The Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam will host a mobile consular outreach on Saipan on March 25-27, 2015, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center.

The schedule for biometrics capturing of the pre-processed passport applications is already available. To avoid delays in the processing of applications, applicants are advised not to fold copies of the original scanned requirements that were sent to us in advance.

Please note that all ePassport applications require personal appearance. Wear proper attire with collar.

Applicants included on the list are advised to be present in the venue on the time and date indicated in the schedule. Time slot of the “no show” applicants will be cancelled. (PCG)

Military training at FDM, Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. military will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:

• March 23, from 10:30am to 8:30pm

• March 24, from 7am to 5pm

• March 25, from 4pm to 8:30pm

• March 26, from 6:50-7:50am and 1-8:30pm

• March 27, from 10:30am to 8:30pm

The military will also conduct training at Warning Area 517 during the following dates and times:

• March 23, from 4am to 6pm

• March 24-27, from 12:01am to 11:59pm

The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the areas during the dates and times indicated.

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. (PR)

MHS junior classes to take part in seminar
All junior classes of Marianas High School will be participating in the upcoming Start Smart Seminar sponsored by Northern Marinas College on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 8:30am to 2:45pm, at the Saipan World Resort. This event will teach students about the process of applying for college, the benefits of getting a degree, as well scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Transportation and lunch will be provided on this day. (MHS)
