The Western Association of Schools and Colleges’ Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, at its meeting on Jan. 10-12, 2018, reaffirmed the accreditation of the Palau Community College for the remainder of the cycle.
The commission found that Palau Community College has addressed the compliance recommendations, corrected deficiencies, and met standards.
The next report from the college will be the midterm report due on March 15, 2020. The institution’s next comprehensive review will occur in the spring term of 2023.
At the January meeting, the commission reviewed the college’s follow-up report and related evidentiary materials to determine whether PCC has responded to the issues identified by the peer review team at the last visit and as expressed in the commission’s action letter of July 8, 2016, and whether the college has demonstrated compliance with standards.
The commission requires the college to disseminate the follow-up report and the commission’s letter within the institution, including by posting them on the college’s website. (PR)
