Commerce: No extended sale of alcohol on New Year
Gov. Eloy S. Inos and Lt. Gov. Jude U. Hofschneider, through the Office of the Secretary of Commerce, announced to all Class-3 On-Sale establishment operators (licensees), that there will be no special granting of extended hours of operation to sell alcoholic beverages up to 4am on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2014.
“Because of the creation of a new Class-7 Special Liquor License under Public Law 17-83, which authorizes a licensed establishment under this class type to operate up to 4am only on weekends and holidays, any interested Class-3 On-Sale establishment who does not currently hold a Class-7 Special Liquor License may apply for this class type of license in order to obtain the privilege of operating up to 4am during weekends and holidays,” said Commerce acting secretary Mark Rabauliman.
He said this special notice applies only to Class-3 On-Sale licensed premises. All Class-4 Off-Sale licensed establishments shall comply with their daily authorized hours of sale, which is 7am to 10pm.
