Comment deadline today to help save Pagan and Tinian

Share

Please step up and submit a written statement today to help stop or limit Department of Defense training in the CNMI. Today, April 17, is the last day to provide concerns about DoD using Pagan and Tinian, and that can be done at https://mitt-eis.com/.

While it helps to have clear and relevant comments, don’t be intimidated by the site’s request for them to be “substantive, supportive, practical, backed by facts and references, focused…”  At this point, any comments will help and add to the numbers of those that expressed concerns and want to at least restrict DoD training in the CNMI.

DoD has a proven horrible history of destroying lands and water systems and leaving them prohibitively uninhabitable by humans.  It’s those places they’ve already destroyed that they should continue to train on, not Pagan and Tinian that can be better used for homesteading and repopulation, agriculture, ecotourism, and more.

Please consider the future and write today.
