Writing a novel alone can be difficult, even for seasoned writers. This is where ‘Come write in!’ comes in.

The Joeten-Kiyu Library has signed up with NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) as a friendly space for novelists to use when crafting their stories. Come write in! is set for Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, from 1pm to 3pm. This is free and open to all who are 13 years old and older.

What happens at a write-in? Lots of quiet time to write. Brief periods to connect with other writers. Word wars (timed writing sessions challenging each other to write the most). Dares (clever prompts to include in your story). And for this one, a raffle of a writing book and some free prizes. Drinks and snacks optional. (PR)
