Make-A-Wish Foundation chair Eric Tydingco said that Guanzon had been on the wish list for one year and that finally her wish will be granted.
“Part of our mission is to make sure everyone knows the criteria of our efforts here. The perception here is that it’s for toddlers but we try to grant wishes for those up to 18 years old with life-threatening diseases,” he said, “and it does not have to be terminal… so if you know anyone, we really want to grant as many wishes as we can. It really is whatever they want to do and Jasmine wants to see her mom.”
According to Tydingco, they plan to fly Guanzon out to Hong Kong by February and have her experience Disneyland and other attractions during her visit.
During the fundraiser, attendees enjoyed a five-course meal, an hour-long open cocktail bar and participated in many silent auctions.
