The LGBT community on Saipan aims to educate the island about its existence and what better way than through a huge celebration.

Better late than never is what comes to mind with the Saipan LGBT community’s first Gay Pride celebration this July 29.

Although international Pride Month has passed, it’s never too late to celebrate Gay pride so the LGBT community on Saipan has decided to throw a Gay Pride in the Marianas celebration.

On July 29, catch the Paper Dolls in some of their most fun, colorful, whimsical costumes to represent Pride.

According to event organizer Sharmaine Casquero, the event is expected to be one to remember.

Casquero said the community can expect 13 different individuals dressed in fabulous costumes and parading all over the GIG Discotheque and Bossano Bar located in Garapan. There will even be live performances.

For individuals interested in partaking in the Gay Pride in the Marianas celebration, tickets are currently on sale for $20 apiece so get yours while supplies last.

For tickets, feel free to contact Casquero at 233-2643.
