CNMI SBDC offers free business seminars on Saipan

The Department of Commerce’s CNMI Small Business Development Center, through the Small Business Administration, will be offering free business seminars “Export 101-Exporting your product from CNMI to China” from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Monday, May 23, and “Funding Your Business through a SBA Loan” from 9am to 10am on Wednesday, May 25, at the Northern Marianas College (Room D1).

Interested in exporting your product from CNMI? Already exporting your product and looking to expand into new markets? Then you don’t want to miss this opportunity to hear from the experts. Andrea Shen, from the United States Consulate General in Shenyang, China, will discuss the rules and regulations on exporting your food/beverage products to China, how to get your product ready for export, and the resources available to help you find qualified international buyers. About 95 percent of your potential customers are located overseas—come and find out how to connect and communicate effectively with this vast potential! This seminar is brought to you by the Guam Visitors Bureau, Northern Marianas College and the CNMI SBDC with the support of the Commonwealth Development Authority, CNMI Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service, Hawaii Pacific District Export Council, Bridge Investment Group, and the Saipan Chamber of Commerce.

Ken Lujan, Guam SBA Branch manager, will present on starting up or expanding your business to recovering from disasters, SBA loan programs are available to help your business succeed. You can explore various types of loans that may be available at the upcoming seminar. This seminar is brought to you by the CNMI SBDC and the Northern Marianas College with the support of the Commonwealth Development Authority, CNMI Department of Commerce, and the Let’s MOVE! Marianas Alliance.

Deadline to pre-register is one business day before seminar at 12pm. Seating is limited so advanced registration is required (this is on a first come, first serve basis). Walk-ins are allowed and granted on space availability.
