CNMI paddling tryouts start tomorrow

Northern Marianas National Paddling Sports Federation would like to inform interested individuals that the open trials for the CNMI national men’s and women’s teams will begin this Saturday at Kilili Beach.

The tryouts for the squads that will represent the Commonwealth to the 2018 Micronesian Games will run from 8am to 12pm. There will be two more trials after this weekend’s session and they will take place on March 3 and 10.

Though the trials are open to any interested individuals, the federation still sets requirements as per Micronesian Games rules.

Micronesian paddlers who will join the tryouts must be residents of CNMI for at least three years before the Micro Games and seven years for non-Micronesian. They should also be affiliated with any of the NMNPSF-member club and own a paddle.
