Tony Rogolifoi is seeking the help of the community to assist them with their ongoing fundraising activity for their trip to Guam later this month.

Rogolifoi is trying to form a competitive team that will be seeing action in this year’s edition of the Guam Masters Baseball Tournament set from May 29 to June 5 at the Dededo Complex.

The Saipan Baseball League coordinator said they had already sent some solicitation letters to several people and businesses, while the players are also doing their share to raise funds.

“Any amount given will be very much appreciated. We need sponsors for our uniforms and the money collected will be used to cover the airfare and accommodation while we’re in Guam,” added Rogolifoi.

The Northern Marianas Sports Association executive director said the CNMI’s 15-man roster is almost complete as he already had 13 players. “Some of them are already based in Guam because they work there.”

Rogolifoi will be holding another meeting on May 19, Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium pavilion inside the Oleai Sports Complex.

For more information, call Rogolifoi at 234 6672.

The Guam Masters is open to all players 40 years old and above. Five teams, led by defending champion Guahan, have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming nine-day tournament.

Adahi, Net Tour, Padres, and an Australian team are the other competing squads.
