Chuuk relief drive on May 21
The Help Chuuk Ayuda Chuuk Alisi Chuuk relief drive will be held on May 21, 2022, to collect much-needed supplies for Chuuk residents who continue to be affected by the inundation of salt water in early December 2021 and mid-January 2022.
The relief drive, conducted by the Ach Chuuk CNMI Association, is an effort to help alleviate food insecurities that the low-lying and atoll islands in Chuuk are experiencing. Their staple food crops, such as breadfruit, bananas, and giant taro, to name a few, were immensely affected due to this natural disaster.
The public is welcome to bring their donations to the Minachom Atdao from 8am. to 5pm on May 21, a Saturday.
This relief drive is also supported by the CNMI Office of the Governor, the Lady Diann Torres Foundation, the Saipan Magalahi Eagles Club, the Saipan Magahaga Lady Eagles Club, the Women of Destiny, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, and the Department of Public Safety.
