TanHoldings Football Club’s Kaithlyn Chavez recorded the most goals (21) in the 2019 Dove Women’s Fall League to earn the Golden Boot award in Division A of the competition.

Chavez scored in all six games of TanHoldings in the regular season, posting her best offensive game (6 goals) last Nov. 29 when they defeated Paire Football Club. The TanHoldings striker finished way ahead of Kanoa’s Irish Pagarao in the Golden Boot race, as the latter registered only 13 goals. TanHoldings’ Katrina Costales, Matansa’s Jannah Casarino, and Kanoa’s Paulynn Joyce placed third in the contest after collecting nine goals apiece.

Chavez and the two other Golden Boot awardees—Matansa’s Ivann Gozum and Southern United’s Keisha Deleon Guerrero—were recognized during the 2019 Dove Women’s Fall League’s awards ceremony with Northern Mariana Islands Football Association president Jerry Tan and D&Q Saipan regional sales manager Marilyn Marron presenting the medals to the winners.

Gozum took the Golden Boot award in the Masters Division after bagging 16 goals. She was the only player in the division to score goals in twin digits as second placer Manami Manglona of Kanoa Football Club only managed to notch seven goals. TanHoldings’ Eunnie Benavente and Paire Football Club’s Natalie Hill-Beyer had six each, while MP United’s Laarni Zapanta, Matansa’s Bunruang Brasuel, and Paire’s Lindsay Davis collected five apiece to round out the Top 5. Elna Curate received the award on behalf of Gozum.

Deleon Guerrero personally received the Golden Boot award in Division B, getting the recognition after delivering 16 goals this season. She won over teammate Nathanette Blas, who bagged 12, while TanHoldings’ Rizza Relucio (9) and Julie Anna Capayas (8) and Southern United’s Erin Frink (8) completed the Top 5.
