Understanding and sharing the mission of Hyatt, Docomo Pacific donated an additional $500 in cash to their in-kind sponsorship. An extremely generous gesture that is sincerely appreciated by Hyatt Regency Saipan and the six beneficiaries of the 21st Annual Charity Golf Classic.

The iPad Air 2 16BG will be the winning prize for one lucky lady golfer on the day of the tournament and the Samsung S6 will be a prize for the men’s Champion Flight. All other cellular devices will be a part of the raffle and live auction to be held that night.

“We are happy to continue to support the Hyatt Regency Saipan Charity Golf Classic. Hyatt Regency Saipan’s way of giving back to the community and touching lives is aligned with Docomo Pacific’s core values,” said Docomo Pacific Saipan general manager Dino Manning.

The entity was first created as a merger among Japanese telecommunications company NTT Docomo, Guamcell Communications, and HafaTel in 2006. The acquisition and merge allowed NTT Docomo to invest and upgrade technological equipment in Guam and the CNMI to introduce faster capabilities of internet and cellular services. A few years later in 2013, Docomo Pacific merged with MCV Broadband allowing the organization to offer customers bundles of services inclusive of mobile, television, internet and telephone in Guam and the CNMI. Docomo Pacific continues to enhance and diversify the range of services to providing options for customers leading them into the future of technology.

“On behalf of Hyatt Regency Saipan, I extend our gratitude to Docomo Pacific’s continued support for our golf tournament. It’s through the generosity of local businesses like Docomo Pacific that we at Hyatt are able to continue to host our annual charity golf classic. As we move toward our goal to positively impact our community and enhance the lives of others, we are proud to work alongside Docomo Pacific,” said Hyatt Regency Saipan general manager Nick K. Nishikawa.

All proceeds donated to the Hyatt Regency Saipan 21st Annual Charity Golf Classic will go to the event’s six beneficiaries to include: Make-A-Wish Foundation, aiding them in their mission to grant wishes to children with life-threatening diseases; Kagman High School Million Dollar Club, supporting CNMI high school students in preparation and travel to higher education; Marianas Behavioral Health International, a rehabilitation center dedicated to provide support for those who want to make a positive change in their lives; Karidat Social Services, a local organization supporting the needs of the community; Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation, which assists impoverished women and children of the CNMI; and the Northern Marianas Humanities Council, which has a goal to focus on supporting the education of indigenous cultures of the CNMI.

Grown in popularity over the years from being a fun golf tournament for Club At The Hyatt members to an island-wide charitable event; this year the Hyatt Regency Saipan Charity Golf Classic turns 21—a special year that most either remember or don’t for the same reasons.
