Keone Chariton was crowned the Marianas Golf Association’s February Ace of the Month last Feb. 20 at the Coral Ocean Resort.

Chariton bested 36 other members shooting 42 in the front nine and a 37 in the back nine for a gross score of 79.

Sporting a 16 handicap and a net score of 63, Chariton was crowned the February Ace. Isaac Aguon and Joe “Kamakaze” Camacho tied for the second-lowest net score of the day with a 66, but Aguon edged out Camacho on a scorecard playoff to bag second place.

Closest to the pin winners were Don Hallmark, Chris Groves, Camacho, and James Benavente. All closest to the pin winners went home with an extra $205 each.

A total of 45 players joined the monthly ace as aside from the 36 members, nine guests also participated.

MGA’s golf season runs from May 2020 through April 2021.

MGA’s March Ace is scheduled for Saturday, March 13, at Kingfisher Golf Links in Talafofo. Showtime is 9am and tee-off is 10am shotgun.

MGA holds monthly aces once a month circulating around the four current golf courses and is inviting interested golfers to join the MGA club.

Interested individuals can reach out to any current MGA member for details. New members’ annual fee is $40 and returning members is $30. This is a one-time fee that gets you an MGA polo shirt and hat.
