The 2016 Reverse Coed Grass Volleyball Tournament will be held at the Capital Hill softball field instead of the Navy Hill ballfield tomorrow, Jan. 16.

The change of venue is because Saipan Little League teams are using Navy Hill for practice in preparation for the upcoming season.

Tyce Mister and Kathy Winkfield are organizing this year’s tournament, a two-person reverse coed event.

Last year, J.R. Gechig and Charnessa Lizama ruled the tournament with the latter claiming his second straight crown.

Lizama partnered with John Nekaifes to went undefeated and win the 2014 edition. They defeated the pair of Clay McCullough-Stearns and Somia Quan in the finals.

This will be the first event of the Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association and they would next prepare for the hosting of the 24th Annual Marianas Cup and Kids Cup Beach Volleyball Festival. (Jon Perez)
