Cole Chambers earned 1,080 rankings points from two early tournaments for the 2011-2012 season to lead Joshua Abragan, Mondo Taniguchi, and Steven Goodwin. Chambers jumped from No. 13th to the top spot after reigning supreme in last month’s 3rd Annual Tan Holdings Classic. He had only 80 points after competing in the DFS tournament, but added 1,000 big points after winning against Abragan in the finals of the Tan Holdings Classic, 8-3. Chambers, who finished runner-up in the doubles with teammate Logan Mister, was unseeded in the boys U10 singles and stunned the 11-player field with his victory

Abragan settled for the 750 rankings points allotted for the singles runner-up. He earned 250 rankings points in the DFS tournament. Goodwin got 1,000 ranking points from the DFS tournament for a three-way tie for the No. 3 spot. He opted to join the U12 division in the Tan Holdings contest. Joining the logjam is Taniguchi, who got 500 points each from the DFS and Tan Holdings events.

Completing the ranking list are A.J. Hudkins (800), Robbie Schorr (750), James Hourican (600), Steven An (500), Haruya Eda (450), Tony Atalig (425), Vincent Tudela (400), Gang Min Kim (300), Ken Song (250), Aditya Rai (240), Logan Mister (220), and Jeffrey Seo (150).

In the girls U10 division, Tania Tan is still ahead with her 2,000 points. Tan, who tied Julia Ishikawa for the No. 1 spot last season, won in the DFS and Tan Holdings event for the solo lead.

In second place is Malika Miyawaki (1,250), followed by Mimi Sakano (1,050), Catherine Atalig (900), Ami Tsukagoshi (600), Gillian Villagomez (500), Grace Choi (500), Sally Hwang (300), Asia Raulerson (300), Anna Calvert (300), and Hana Nelson (250).

Also keeping the top spot in her age group is Carol Lee, who leads the girls U12 division with 2,000 points. Lee swept the championship of both the DFS and Tan Holdings tournaments. Isabel Heras is lurking in second place with her 1,500 ranking points, while Ishikawa is currently at third in her U12 debut. Rounding out the rankings list are Elizaveta Atalig (500), Antonia Reyes (500), Hwang (300), and Tsukagoshi (300).

Michael Ren won the first two tournaments of the season for 2,000 points and the No. 1 ranking in the boys U12. He is ahead of Luther Lizama (1,500), Alex Park (1,100), Clayton Izuka (900), Michael Jones (650), James Kim (600), Goodwin (300), Peter Deng (300), and Tudela (300).
