The Saipan Chamber of Commerce and Island Training Solutions presented a powerful customer-service themed training “Customer Satisfaction is Worthless; Customer Loyalty is Priceless” last Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Kanoa Resort Saipan. This one-day training focused on the developing of employee skills needed to communicate professionalism, gain respect, and enhance customer relationships with excellence.
The exclusive seminar included up-and-coming managers and supervisors from various businesses: Atkins Kroll Saipan, Bank of Saipan, BankPacific, Dial Rent-to-Own, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Friends First Marketing, IT&E, Joeten Kiyu Public Library, Kanoa Resort Saipan, MP Holdings, LLC, Pacific Engineering, Pacific Subsea Saipan, and Staywell Insurance.
Glenn Policare, director of Operations of Kanoa Resort Saipan, said “The training is opening up a lot of eyes, showing positive opportunities and shows room for improvement not just for our business, but for the many businesses that are represented here today.”
Another participant, Janet Aguon, Enterprise Sales manager of IT&E Guam, said, “This training brings us back to the fundamentals of customer loyalty and how to establish that loyalty.”
Participants learned how to identify their own emotions and subsequent reactions for improved performance; how to better manage relationships by negotiating the needs of others; and improve skills to help others increase capabilities. A major theme in this seminar was to enhance retention of customers and employees, a major challenge that local businesses currently face.
“I am excited at the response of our participants. These employees are genuinely invested in growing their knowledge to improve and grow their businesses,” said Jim Arenovski, Island Training Solutions owner.
“We all have a similar goal and that is to ensure that we can take care of our employees and that our employees can take care of our guests to create and retain loyal customers. This is the goal for our small island community and we work toward that goal through trainings like this. Through the chamber, Island Training Solutions has reached hundreds of employees in just the past year. I look forward to future collaborations,” he added.
The Saipan Chamber will host its final seminar for the year on Nov. 15, 2018, focusing on staff motivation and development. For more information or to register for this training, contact coordinator2@saipanchamber.com. (PR)
