The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual high school workshop at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library in Susupe on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, from 9am to 3pm. This event is free to public and private high school juniors and seniors. Each student is required to provide a parental consent form. This form can be found on the Chamber website, www.saipanchamber.com or by contacting the Chamber office at 234-7150.

This workshop was developed by the Education Committee of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce as an annual event in the effort to prepare high school juniors/seniors for the path that lies ahead when they graduate from high school. Donations have been received from Herman’s Bakery, Subway/Foremost, Saipan Ice, and LSG Sky Chefs to provide refreshments, breakfast, and lunch for all registered attendees.

Chamber members volunteer their time to host this workshop each year. This year, Shamika Ratwatte of Ernst & Young will highlight the importance of managing your finances in a “Personal Budgeting” segment. Jim Arenovski of Island Training Solutions will interact using real life examples to aid the students with resume/interviewing skills and time management strategies.

Certificates of completion will be presented to the attendees at the end of the day.

Special thanks go out to Herman’s Bakery, to Subway/Foremost, Saipan Ice, and to LSG Sky Chefs for their donations, and to the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library for the use of their facility.

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is located on the third floor of the Marianas Business Plaza, Suite #315. For more information, call (670) 234-7150 or email coordinator2@saipanchamber.com. (PR)
