Chamber gauging interest in healthcare plan

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is currently gauging interest in the number of Chamber members and potential new members that would be interested in accessing a Chamber Member Healthcare Group Plan with TakeCare Insurance Company, Inc. The target audience for participation are small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Chamber member/future members interested in partaking in the group rate need to fill out the survey at the following link before 5pm on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019: http://tinyurl.com/scchealthcaresurvey

Based on interest from Chamber members, the Chamber will decide if it will move forward with the program.

The survey link includes the proposed rates as well as more information about the plans being offered. The current proposal for TakeCare which would start Jan. 1, 2020. Participants would have the option to choose from the following medical and dental plans:

• Medical plans – CNMI Platinum Premier $10-100% – $10 OR CNMI Platinum Premier 20%-80%-$5

• Dental plans – CORE Dental 8550 $1000 Plan Max OR CORE Dental 8880 $3,000 Plan Max

• Medical and dental plans – CNMI Platinum Premier $10-100% – $10 OR CNMI Platinum Premier 20%-80%-$5 AND CORE Dental 8550 $1000 Plan Max OR CORE Dental 8880 $3,000 Plan Max

The proposed rates in the survey are estimates based on the number of employees enrolled. Numbers may go down if more are enrolled, or the program may not be executed if not enough employees are interested.

Chamber members in good member standing (up-to-date on membership dues) who do not already have TakeCare insurance are eligible to participate.

Businesses with one employee are eligible to enroll during open enrollment period

Current Chamber members would have to enroll during this upcoming enrollment period (December 2019) to avail of the group rates. Current Chamber members cannot join the group after this upcoming enrollment period.

Businesses enrolling this year (December 2019) would need to provide a copy of their business license and most recent Quarterly Wage Report.

For interested future members, Chamber Member Annual Dues are $300 for members with less than $250,000 in gross revenue, $500 for members between $250,000 and $600,000 in gross revenue, and $1,000 for members between $600,000 and $1 million in gross revenue. Future Chamber members interested in availing of membership to access the health group rate should email administrator@saipanchamber.com to learn how to become a member.
