Chamber of Commerce 2017 golf tournament set for March 4

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its fundraising golf tournament on March 4 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
Simply dubbed as the Saipan Chamber of Commerce 2017 Golf Tournament, the competition will be a two-person scramble format.
The entry fee is $120/non-member and $110/member. Cash prizes include $800 for first place, $500 for second place, and $300 for third place in the two categories: Team Gross and Team Double Peoria. There will also be closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, and accurate drive contests as well as four hole-in-one opportunities.
Fabulous raffle prizes have been donated and tickets will be available for purchase during the awards banquet at the end of the tournament. Sponsorships and raffle prizes are currently being collected and we expect this will be the most exciting and profitable event yet. Registration forms for players are available for download at www.saipanchamber.com, at the Chamber office, and Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
The funds raised by the tournament and raffle will support the Chamber’s Scholarship Program, monthly training seminars, and other community based projects. In June 2016, five $2,000 scholarships were awarded to deserving high school seniors, one $2,000 scholarship to a Northern Marianas College student, and one $2,000 scholarship to a Northern Marianas Trades Institute student. In 2016, the Chamber also collaborated with the Bank of Guam and the Commonwealth Development Authority to host the 2016 Business and Finance Conference. The Chamber also hosted a Labor Visa Symposium. The Chamber extends a huge thank you to our sponsors for contributing to our efforts to promote higher education and quality training to our local workforce.
