Taylor Watanabe took second. He advanced to the loser’s bracket final when Luis Aldan scratched after pocketing the 8-ball. Watanabe’s cue-ball placement earned a win over George Ucherbelau, but Cepeda used the same skill to take the finals. Watanabe’s other loss was also to Cepeda.

The tournament is double elimination following BCA rules, with sign-up starting at 4pm. The entry fee is only $5.

Victor Hocog took the 9-ball honors last Thursday, overcoming a one-game handicap. He didn’t drop a game in the tournament.

The single-elimination tournament is a race to two, but experienced 9-ball players must win additional games-as determined by management-to advance.

Ron Chisato took second, with Watanabe in third place.

There is a $10 entry fee. Sign-up starts at 7 pm.

Saturday is for dart players, with a blind draw, double elimination tournament starting at 7:30 pm.

First, second, and third place finishers in all contests take home trophies and split the pot.

The contests are held at 19th Hole, located in Lower Navy Hill. Coming from Garapan, it is just before you get to the Bank of Hawaii traffic light, past Grand Market and before Jane’s Barbecue.

Players can warm up with an ice-cold bucket of beer for $10 from 3pm to 7pm. Beer cans are only $2.50 after 7pm.
